Digital CMF Product

In digital fabrication, it is essential to think of final surface treatment for the final outcome of the product. This is  an experiment of computational and CMF design.
For the gripping part of the camera, we have experimented a few types of outcome:

Inspired by steam punk era, we treated the part with metallic coating and aging treatment;In order to give a soft and fluffy grip, we applied flocking treatment which created tufted piled surface;Although the appearance seems to be normal, the grip is elastic due to special resin used, which creates a leather-like texture.
